The Fiumicello beach is one of the most famous and popular of the coast of Maratea.

It opens below the tip Ogliastro, on which there are the caves of Fiumicello, where in the '60s the caver Vincenzo Fusco found remains of Paleolithic settlements, the oldest of the Tyrrhenian coast of Lucania.
 
This beach is divided into two sections by the Fiumicello river, which flows along the valley of Maratea.

Along the south side overlooking some beautiful rocks, over which overlooks the Santavenere tower.
