The beach of a Gnola in Castrocucco is the largest beach on the coast of Maratea.
It is a long stretch of sand that slips under the foot of Serra Castrocucco, creating a small bay that serves as a marina.
Besides that there are several beach resorts that offer all the facilities, as well as there is much public beach.
The beach is dominated by the Castrocucco Castle, one of the most interesting abandoned historical centers to visit (expert hike).
The Noce River (also called Castrocucco), which runs along its southern slope, dividing the Basilicata from Calabria.
