Rena d'u Nastru Beach

The Rena d'u Nastru beach is a beautiful beach located between the town of Cersuta and the rock where the Appreciate the Donkey Tower stands.
This beach, like some others in Maratea, was formed in 1894 when railway debris was dumped on the coast via a conveyor belt (hence the name).
Very nice it is to walk on this beach during the winter, and enjoy the light of the sunset to slip inside the Palombi cave, located at its southern end.
In 2015 through a survey promoted by LEGA AMBIENTE on social media this beach was ranked second in Italy for beauty.
For several years access to the beach by land has been interrupted due to landslides; moreover, the erosion of the sea has reduced the width of the actual beach which however has not lost its great charm.
