Church of Santa Teresa at Marina

The small Church of Saint Teresa of Ávila was built in 1958 to replace the original church dedicated to the patron saint of Marina, demolished to make way for a second railway track. Inside are four painted wooden statues, including a fine 18th-century depiction of Saint Teresa of Ávila from the Neapolitan school.

Minor churches

The church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, built in 1992 in the village of Castrocucco, features typically modern architecture.

The interior features numerous painted wooden statues, including a Saint Lucy and a Saint Pius. Notable is also the tabernacle, worked in iron, above which is a copy of Domenico Ghirlandaio’s Last Supper.

The small church of St. Catherine of Alexandria, located in the heart of the homonymous fraction, preserves a white marble and polychrome marble high altar from the nineteenth century, and a statue of the saint, in painted wood, from 1902.

The extremely charming church of Our Lady of Mercy, from the late 19th century, patronal church of the Brefaro fraction, features a small nave with a large polychrome marble altar, decorated with some wooden statues, including a Shepherd Jesus and St. Nicholas of Bari.

The small hermitage of Our Lady of Piety is located on the crest of Mount S. Biagio above the street Filocaio, where it stands out for its milky white color.

Another emblem of the ascetic monasticism of the Byzantine era, it was restored in 1808 in poor Baroque style.

Inside, there is a bas-relief of the Pieta from 1810.
