Ustica [a movie about] | Renzo Martinelli | Maratea

"Ustica"

by Renzo Martinelli (2016)

genre: Documentary - Drama

The Ustica massacre with its political implications and judicial complexities in a documentary film by Lombard director Renzo Martinelli, with some exterior scenes shot in Maratea.

After the main three hypotheses made over the years about the causes of the disaster in the skies above Ustica, within journalistic but especially judicial investigations, namely structural failure of the aircraft, a bomb on board, or a missile, none of which was actually proven, this film presents a fourth "truth"

Ustica - Plot

Corrado di Acquaformosa, a parliamentarian appointed to the investigative committee into the incident, pushed and supported by his wife Valja, an airplane pilot, decides not to accept any preconceived thesis about the accident.
Valja herself decides to conduct her own investigation...
