Calvario | Curch | old town

The small Church of Calvary, privately owned, is located at the foot of the historic center of Maratea, in the district known as Little Harbor.

The original title of the church, in fact, was S. Maria de Mare Piccolo, then changed to S. Cataldo, and finally to its current name.

It was traditional that the church, in ancient times, was used for the burial of abortions.
